Abstract: Public spaces are essentially more than simple
material objects; they are the people that used
them, and the physical-geographic places. Study
public spaces uses and attachments in downtown
of Aguascalientes means to understand the
activities, meanings, values, and symbols that citizens
give to them. Our proposal in this article is to
explain the way that appropriations have shown
and taken place especially with formal and informal
activities. This research had an ethnographic
direction, which used short biographic stories and
life´s stories, in addition with systematization of visual
methods, bibliography and archive studies.
The methodology used a mixed research and it
took place during three years of work (2009 to
2012). The results showed new different manners
of visualizing and understanding these sorts of
spaces.
